FUNCTION OF THE CAMPUS MAINTAINS COMMITTEE:
- Maintenance of institute infrastructure means monitoring, servicing and facilitating up keep of the
Instrument, equipment, gadget, functional space, institute building, etc. to make it operational with
or without external help of professionals.
2 The policy for maintenance of infrastructure depends on (a) type of infrastructure, (b) nature and
frequency of its occupancy or utilization, (c) functional life and durability, (d) functional
essentiality, and (e) price of item.
- Dysfunction of infrastructure that requires low expenditure for repair, can be initiated by the HOD
or the in charge with prior permission of the Director. The work can be assigned to local
or empanelled service providers.
- For expensive and hi-tech equipment or expensive construction / fabrication AMC (annual
maintenance contract) is to be adopted with the suppliers at the time of procurement. The duration
of contract period will be decided by the management. On expiry of AMC, the maintenance
contract may be renewed when recommended by the department / user group.
- Maintenance of all computers and peripherals, Wi-Fi, internet, software’s, virtual laboratories and
class rooms, smart class rooms, surveillance (CC TV camera and networking), etc. on receipt of
Complaints from user departments / sections.
- Maintenance of campus hygiene and cleanliness, drainage system, waste disposal, etc..
- Rain water harvesting, sustenance of green campus activities, and adoption of green technology.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAMPUS MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE
1.Keeping department wise stock register by concerned laboratory assistant under the observation of
administrative officer.
2.Prepares reports related to the damage/lost material, repair work, or additional material installed in
the lab.
3.Department wise stock verification are processed in every semester break so as to keep things ready
for the new semester is done by concerned coordinators of the department.
- Lab assistants under the supervision of the System administrator maintain the efficiency of the
College computers and accessories.
5.Regular maintenance of laboratory equipment’s and chemicals are done by laboratory attendant of
Concerned departments.
6.Overall development of the campus is done by the campus discipline and cleanliness committee of
the college.
7.Regular cleaning of water tanks, proper garbage disposal, pest control, landscaping, and
maintenance of lawns are done by college peon.
8.College campus maintenance is monitored through regular inspection.
9.To upkeep all facilities and cleanliness of the environment in the hostel, through hostel monitoring
committee.
- Outsourcing is done for maintenance and repairing of IT infrastructure such as computers, internet
facilities including Wi-Fi and broadband, updating of software by computer hardware technician.

Class Room & Digital class Rooms | It is resolved that the classroom is well furnished and the desk – benches are kept in proper order. Staff advisor/ Floor In-charge through the Head of the Department will inform it to the concerned section (Work Section/Electrical maintenance section).
